Colour image is of 35023 'Holland-Afrika Line', not 35028? I'm sure I saw a photo of 35028 with high-sided tender with late crest and with parallel lining rather than panelling somewhere. Might have been a poor quality photo, though.

Quite possible - when the high-sided tender went from 35020 to 35028, it was panelled and - as far as I can tell - early crest but it may well have been subsequently repainted back to parallel lined form and late crest before 35028 was rebuilt.

I see what you mean now. The tender was repainted to the original spec but with late crest. However, when attached to 35020, they blacked-out the raves, which didn't do much for its looks, as you suggest!

Where does 60163 fit into this? Is it a southern or northern or just a nothing this year?

This pool system is based upon WCRC-compatible locomotives only, so 60163 is a bit of an outsider. Might add another category. Even better, I ought to start a new thread on the pooling system in the relevant 'What's Going On' section; that way we can get back to Bulleids on this one...

That explains the 'musical sidings' game it has played over the last month or so. Wonder how long it will be before it heads up north?

Possibly if/when 44932 returns north after Tangmere is back in harness from Southall.
Or maybe 34016 will be dismantled at Southall?

I wonder why the Standard 5 didn't move with it?

I would have thought it might be an attractive proposition to lsl as they already manage 2 standards currently at Ropley. Tender swap with 92212 as well for better main line range?

No they don't make good viewing do they, and normally I wouldn't go out for something like this and she does look a sorry sight- but thought it a bit special this time!

And as you say, unlike 1967, Bodmins future is a bright one. :)

Such a shame, it looked magnificent in those days.
I hope it will return to that condition in the near future.
