All being well, subject to running in, she will be working on the two train timetable. This will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until week commencing 24 July. Then every day until 5th. September.

I was at the railway today and had intended to ask. However, it was a very busy morning with two train running and all trains well filled.

As the line is celebrating 150 years since opening, the DSR are planning a week of events, here is a link to their website page for it: http://www.dartmouthrailriver.co.uk/about-us/150th-anniversary-year

Activities include driver for a tenner & driver for a fiver, tours of the work shops, beer festival etc... Looks good but is there anything else that could be done to celebrate this historic event?

I would have thought there was plenty happening: something for all.

Bear in mind the Dartmouth SR will still be operating in high peak intensive service of trains plus the boats and ferries over the period. Most, but not all, people who work there are paid staff unlike many other lines who have a large volunteer (free) help to call upon if needed.

Oh bugger, I'm there for a weeks holiday the week before :-(

Does anyone know if they have a quieter day of the week? Would rather try avoid the days when it's rammed full.

Is it likely to be just a standard service in the day on the 16th? I see the Rat is shown on a picture on the page, will that be out at all?

Yeah sorry Greenway, I meant a standard orange timetable rather than green, I was just wondering would it bit a little different like a gala event or just literally the orange timetable with some later services.

Thanks TT, that confirms what I believed but was reluctant to post. So would be travelers can look forward to many, many more runs behind her. :)

7827 is certainly on top form at the moment - as I discovered a few weeks back sat in the carriage immediately behind the loco - the sound in Greenway tunnel was almost ear splitting!
