Yes truly magnificent in the rain. She restarted this huge train from a sigs stop before Woking without an ounce of slip in the pouring rain which can be seen in the shot. 11 Pullmans and 3 bogies =540 tons tare, approx. 560 tons gross. Earlier getting into speed past Wandsworth Town.

Amazing that in 2014 we saw two pedigree pacifics on big loads, 46233 on 540 tons and 35028 on 560 tons.

Bit of a watering problem at Shalford yesterday as the pump on the tanker could not be started and all the water came from the hydrant.. and we all know how unreliable they can be.

I'll echo the comments about 35028 and Pullmans looking magnificent in the rain. Was a close run thing at Wandsworth Town mid-downpour, what with a 455 parallelling Clan Line on approach. Made for an interesting shot all the same!

At least said unit allowed me to go and hare along to Brentford (and thence Southall) for a further shot or two of 46233....
