3 so called "steam" tours in two days.
Today had two tours with a steam ornament on the front & being shoved for at least 99% of the time.
Tomorrow one tour with NO steam appearance at all.

That footage of the 8F on The Fellsman thread looked a lot like it was 1 steam loco and 12 coaches with no diesel in the formation, but perhaps I need new glasses......

(I presume that footage was from today?)

So you must have been on one of them to know that it was being 'shoved' 99% of the time. Oh no you don't go on them, so you must be psychic or clairvoyant or something..
You complain about people getting at you, but honestly you leave yourself wide open with statements like that.

Shame I have been gagged on here isn't it & can't respond in the way I wish for fear of being hung, drawn & quartered.
However you only have to read the various posts & see the videos about said tours to draw your own conclusions.

Consider yourself lucky that you get so many rail tours, we're lucky to get 3 all year in West Wales...

If you want an answer you can search back threads for my posts where somewhere there should still be the analysis of, IIRC, 2012s ran as advertised -v- the it was amended in some way tour record based on David's UK steam listings. It wasn't a good outcome for the reliability of tours to actually provide what was initially intended and those booking early hoped they might get. Yes things like FBU strikes, heat waves and other unexpected eventualities do occur but even allowing for those it is not good.
