The only steam loco visible this morning in the yard at 10A was 60009. Assume 5972 returned this aft. 61994 has apparently returned to Bury.
Presuming it's repaired, the 8F would be a fair bet.

61994 didn't return to Bury in the end; it was supposed to head down there last Thursday but the move never happened.

Probably makes more economic sense to do a few Fellsmans versus a lot more heritage line use to earn the same money.
    But not tomorrow!

Clagging indeed!! Super clips Steve, particuarly at Birkett Common. Despite only having "short legs" compared to those "Pacifics", the 8F really does acquit itself rather well. 48151 is a loco to appreciate out on the main line whilst we still can......

    Cheers

    Alan

'Whilst we still can..'?? The 8F has been mainline for a number of years now and seems to find plenty of use, any reason why it shouldn't continue? With it's haulage capability it's a very useful loco particularly for trips such as the Fellsman.

Footage of 48151 powering past Ramsgreave & Wilpshire yesterday evening, along with a shot of 37603 & 37402 on the Pennine Explorer at the site of the original Wilpshire station.
