Where are we in terms of her overhaul? Has the boiler been lifted yet? There wasn't an update at their site. That is why I'm speaking. Please don't combine this thread with the 2012 thread.

I went out for a drink last night with a pal, who is a 6201 member. He had brought with him the latest journal to show me the latest pictures. I was most surprised to read that the Society is planning to hold an EGM in OCT, due to Conflict of the Board regarding financial matters this is with the annual AGM due at the end of AUG, What goes on!!!!.. My friend informs me that the minutes from an EGM held last November have still not been published

I can confirm that all of the above is correct and accurate, and add that the statement was issued in the name of Clive Mojoneer, Chairman of 6201.

Any news on Princess Margaret Rose? She's my favourite loco.

I'm afraid you are on the wrong thread. Princess Margaret Rose is not owned by the same group that own Princess Elizabeth, the two groups are and always have been totally separate. PMR is part of a number of locomotives owned by the people behind the Duchess of Sutherland. It is a very common error that many people make.

Sorry about that Arthur. It's because I'm so used to seeing pictures of them together at the PRCLT shed (everytime I google Princess Margaret Rose) so I've always just presumed.

At the recent 6201 Annual Meeting it was announced that the aim was to get Lizzie back in steam before the end of this year. I am too far away from her base and too decrepit to be of any practical use to help in reaching this target so I have put together a 20 minute video of 6201 on the mainline during 2011 and early 2012 in the hope it may inspire a few viewers to send in a donation.

I hope you enjoy the video and that some of you may donate. I know many folk don't have a lot of spare cash at the moment but any amount would be appreciated and would help make sure the target is achieved.

If you would like to support this effort with a donation please send a cheque payable to "Locomotive 6201 Princess Elizabeth Society Ltd" for whatever you can afford to:
Mr K Allen, Treasurer 6201 Society, Bredon View, 47 Conningsby Drive, Pershore, Worcs. WR10 1QX.

If you do donate please mention this video as it would be interesting to see whether it has any impact.

Finally, feel free to make good or bad comments about the videos and the editing - my back is broad enough - but kindly leave out any unhelpful comments about the Society and it's plans etc. In this case, as my dear old granny used to say, "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all".

    The video is here:

When working she'll hold her own with most others Ralph.

Can't wait to get her back where she belongs.

The clip on Shap where she slipped several times was particularly good, pity you did not include the one where she had the extra load of the Castle to contend with.

Sorry to ask the hated question....

Are there any plans to do a similar vote for paint scheme like 46233? Ie people get to donate in order for a vote on the colour, the more money donated, the more votes you get.

    Thanks.

Did the boiler ever get lifted out during the overhaul or have you decided that its good enough to leave it in?

On another note it would be handy to know how much you actually need to finish the overhaul?

    Kind regards Gavin

    It was PRCLT's idea !!

But I think you mean 6201

Not sure is GAV106 was on the Unknown Warrior stand at Tys as it was side by side with 6201's and the question could have been asked direct

That report on the 6201 website, I'd like to see that updated.

Yes, I do remember the controversy over 46233 being painted differently. I believe the owner, What's his name, he was not very happy and that is where the controversy was I believe. Does anybody else remember?

I found Chris Taylor's video excellent and have made a donation via Chris's suggested route to the treasurer. I find it very strange that it takes an ordinary member to come up with this fund raising idea, I wish Chris well in his efforts.

The loco is owned I think by the PRCLT as opposed to an individual
