Into and away from Clapham on time. Looked good and clearly interested a lot of people with many a picture being taken.

Yes saw the VVIP trains going North in Mallerstang around 5.15, as usual just got to a spot where photography was impossible when walking back to the car after photographing the Fellsman, but saw it fly past - very impressive.

Well, I was close. Of course, Mrs V would expect something a bit better than that. With Mr V in his driver's uniform upfront, perhaps?

Just to add to this, the Met & Pic lines are closed between Rayners Lane & Uxbridge whilst they play with the track at Uxbridge........... whether you can go on the platforms, I don't know - but if you can there's less chance of being bowled - other than by an engineering train!

TfL website showing no trains west of Ruislip, so should be ok.

Just to help people planning to be out on Monday:

    - Met 1 and L150 will be bunker to bunker with Met 1 facing East (at least for the move from Ruislip to Ealing Common Depot, I know L150 needs to end up at the West end of Northfields shed at some point during the day)
    - North Ealing station is a photogenic location (both in design and layout)
    - Ealing Common station offers the chance to see the train as it reverses out of the depot
    - The road bridge at Acton Town offers good views of the train as it comes down from Ealing Common into Acton Town (similarly as it climbs the bank out of Acton Town on the local line)
    - You can see the train from the east end of platforms 1 & 2 at Acton Town as it goes into the sidings, looks like a quick reversal via 21 siding
    - The Ascott Avenue / Elderberry Road bridge between Acton Town and South Ealing is a good one for getting the train heading towards Northfields

    Regards

    Dan

Met 1, the Chesham set and Sarah Siddons ran Ruislip to Ealing Common about 2 hours late. I missed it.

L150, carriage 353 and the milk van were in the Depot.
