Knotty Heritage Train first public running 9/10th August.

The Foxfield Railway will be running the Knotty Heritage train on 9th / 10th August. This will be the first time that NSR coaches N061 & 127 will have been used in public service for 110 years following restoration.

The formation will consist of Bellerophon, the two Knotty Coaches and a shark that has been repainted into Victoria Brown to fit in. If you consider that the loco and coaches are all 145 odd years old this is something special. There is more to come in the future as the Knotty Trust get grips with NSR 28, the 1st class coach we are taking on with the support of the NSR Co 1978.

If you are interested in either Foxfield or the Knotty Trust this will be a relaxed weekend to say hello and see what we are about.

 

I can confirm the Bellerophon with be in use on the heritage rake on the 9th Aug, Bellerophon and the Beyer on 10th.

 

Am I correct in assuming only Bellerophon will be in steam on the Saturday? Ta in advance.

 

Both Bellerophon and Beyer Peacock 1827 will be in steam on both days this coming weekend.

 

I can confirm that both locos will be out both days, well worth a visit the heritage train is something very special.

It was - the 3 trains offered were increased to 5 to cater for demand; the 3rd train departing
