Well, It doesn't look like June for 5690. Maybe July?

Nope, not looking like July either!

Could it have been 44932 in the video?

I assume its 61264 beyond it too.

44932 isn't at Carnforth at the present time. It is booked to head north from Southall today though including a stop at Didcot while the FBU strike happens. And 61264 hasn't been at Carnforth for months; it has been at it's home of the NYMR for a good while now this year.

Red boiler bands suggests a black 5 not a 5xp. Even with 5699 in a shade of maroon. I cant see 5690 coming out in line BR black.

Quite happy to be proven wrong.

Lined black. Shouldn't put anything past Smith and Co really.

O I have no problem with it. It will be nice to see her not in LMS crimson. Something completely different. A 5X in BR line black.

Jubilees used to be lined black in the 1950's, but did they have stanier tenders ?

And a Stanier tender has a 4000 gallon capacity compared with the low sided version of the Fowler tenders that only held 3500.

Will there be anything left on the mainline painted in pre-nationalisation colours? While it is nice to have changes, i find it really sad that we can't seem to have more variety on mainline engines these days.

P.S. nice to see the Jubilee is back though
