    Please be advised we have had to cancel this tour due to difficulty in obtaining a path into London due to scheduled engineering works on this date. We apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience this cancellation will undoubtedly cause.

    Sorry it's cancelled, but oh dear, talk of Christmas tours already. There'll be Christmas Crackers on the shelves in Tescos soon too. :eek:

    This train has been booked to run run in late November every year since 2009 - always advertised as Tangmere being the loco in charge. Things seem to get worse and worse on each occasion:

    2009: ran from Swanage to London and back with 34067. No diesel in the formation. Weather was pretty awful but no problems otherwise
    2010: 34067 unavailable but 44932 put in a good run from Swanage to London and back. No diesel. No problems (Was on this one - a great day out)
    2011: 34067 worked it this time but a diesel was attached on the back
    2012: Now booked from Weymouth instead of Swanage. Usual diesel banker for Upwey Bank but the bold decision to remove the diesel afterwards backfired when 34067 slithered to a halt on Parkstone Bank. Diesel summoned and a very late arrival in London.
    2013: The return journey came close to disaster at Winchfield when 34067's coupling rod came loose.
    2014: cancelled
    2015: ??????
