I think I know the advert your on about although I only saw it once but if definitely looked like a BR Standard with smoke deflectors (I thought at first it might be a 9F) but as I said I only saw it once so can't be too sure.

Definitely Cromwell, if you jump it frame by frame it's clearly a pacific and 70013 is the only candidate

Did think it may have been Britannia but the mk2 support coach and longer name plate that looks like 2 words made me think again

The "film" of the train sequence has been 'flipped' left to right, the smokebox door hinges should be on the Right-hand-side looking at them from the front.

Britannia is fitted with air brakes. The pump sits by the smokebox and you would see it. But with the CGI background and other manipulation who is to say that you are not looking at Tornado - 70022 that is!

The scene of the wheels sliding at 20 secs isn't a Britannia, the spacing between the middle and trailing wheel is far too large....... possibly a Standard Five?

The shot is from alongside the slide bars looking towards the cab and the sparks are coming forward as though the driver would put it into reverse to do an emergency stop. Film company producers in a world of their own.

Looking quite American to me a 2 - 6 - 0 with no valve gear to be seen

Agreed and exactly what I was thinking. The mistake is to think that in an advert they are going to do anything properly. If it can be fudged with technology then that's good. After all, it's only about selling a pot of sour milk.

Ah, but was the spoonful of Muller-Deluxe going into her mouth a metaphor for coal being shovelled into the firebox?

Stuff the loco, and who cares about the obvious CGI wheel skid (how else would the bit of valve gear still be rocking in the top left of picture-frame whilst the wheels are stationary?!)

...I wanna know about that opulent corridor carriage they're using - talk about wide!
You're usually getting a bit close to have three people sat alongside each other. On this the poor woman has a half mile hike to get over to the window.

You don't suppose this was all constructed in a studio do you?! Lol.

Maybe it's one of the Kings Cross Suburban non-corridor carriages which were being restored for VSOE.

At the risk of over analysing what is just a TV advert - at two and half seconds from the start, the character is seen entering the compartment through the side door. The impression is that the other side of the door isn't the outside of the train (meaning she'd just been doing a Buster Keaton down the outside of a moving train), which seems to suggest corridor stock IMHO.
