I'm sure the eagle eyed of you all have noticed the ELR are having a mini-pre-gala on Sunday 12 October, capitalising on having two of the visitors in place, 60009 and 61994, using Deltic D9009 on the diesel diagram. Link to the timetable is here:
    http://www.eastlancsrailway.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/12-Oct-2014-Public.pdf

60009 is doing two round trips, missing is the dinner which carries on in the gap as it returns to Bury after the first trip.

Can anyone please confirm which way the steam are facing, thanks?

Looks like the ELR will have to do a hastie replacement, timetable still says 61994.

Shouldn't have had to be such a hasty replacement, if that is what has occurred for, on as far back as 2nd September, Ian Riley posted on the NUELR Forum:
On 6th October, the ELR’s David Layland posted on the NUELR Forum:
Seems to me that keeping the public informed is pretty low on the ELR's agenda as I have noted on several previous occasions when visiting their website!

Although timetable still says 61994, other information page says it's 80080. Any confirmation on which way 60009 faces please?

80080 will be the other loco, but regretfully t/t is in pdf format and does still say 61994. Can't do much about that, there's lot more important things to be done at present.............like making sure everything arrives for the gala.
60009 faces north to Rawtenstall, diner and cream tea on Sunday sold out.

A shame the A4 doesn't even do one full round trip on the day, not really worth a trip for such limited running.
