    Yes Brell is the one.

Getting back to Lizzie, I wouldn't be talking about her return to steam from out of the blue. It shall be 2015.

Many thanks for the donation (and the kind comment).
As at the end of July I believe the video has added £180 to the coffers. Not a vast sum but money that we wouldn't necessarily have had.
In answer to an earlier query I have to confess that I am not privy to the total sum required. At the June Annual Meeting I seem to recall the figure of £25000 being required but that may have been just for completion of the boiler. Other costs can always crop up unexpectedly but no doubt there will also have been other income to counterbalance this.
The latest (July) newsletter is optimistic that a hydraulic test of the boiler will take place in August.
I just thought everything had been a bit quiet for a while and was concerned that Lizzie may have disappeared off the radar a little. It seemed an opportunity to remind anyone who enjoys seeing this beautiful loco out on the mainline of the chance to contribute a little to her return. We can then sit smugly back on the lineside thinking "I helped bring her back".
Thanks to anyone and everyone has donated. If you thought you might but have not got round to it - it's still not too late ;o)

    Chris

We are hoping to be able to steam 6201 "Princess Elizabeth" at the Tyseley Open Day on 26th October..... Lots of room for jokes about naked princesses as the boiler casing will not be in place.... It is dependent on an inspection later this week.

Other locos in steam include A4 "Bittern", our two Panniers, etc.

Any colour you like - as long as it's LMS lined maroon with 6201 on the cabside...

    (With apologies to Henry Ford...)

I thought it was common knowledge that it is going to be silver.

Oh wait - that's the boiler undercoat - sorry! ;)

I think there is still work to be done Mike and June may be a safe estimation.

I would say that mid-2015 is a good bet. There is still a lot of work to be done before Lizzie is seen on the mainline.

Another one for the BR black fans. No
I know that many of you will find my remark insulting should this come to fruition.

BR Black, no, not another one. Everyone knows it should be Apple Green.
