5029 was leaving the NYMR by road so I don't think gauging will be a problem. At least not to get it there.

Seems they've done a decent job on 1450.

I hope someone gives the Brit a bit of TLC before next weekend, as judging from what you can see from your photo, she could do with it!

The Brit has been cleaned and polished a couple of times this year (I saw it being done a couple of weeks ago).

Well that certainly explains why there's nothing on RTT......... and guarantee's she'll be there! :)

I mean if a 40's too fat to fit through a tunnel & a 37 is, what chance has a Castle got?........

Have "fun" with her Oop on the moors did you? Bet she woke the wildlife! ;)

I'm just going by the evident rust on the tyres etc......... bet you're glad you don't have to do that any more!............ maybe they can give the job to the Wednesday gang........ make a change for the bewildered of Ropley inmates to polish something rather than lugging lumps o metal around! ;)

    As stated on the website:

"Entry is by travel ticket only. Once tickets are purchased they cannot be changed or cancelled for any reason. Site/platform tickets, intermediate fares and discount vouchers, including Tesco Clubcard vouchers, are NOT VALID for this event."

Great news! It should be an excellent event and may top this year's Spring Gala.
In one of the 4270 FB pictures there is also a carriage being delivered. Is this 5029's support coach? What a bizarre movement if it is.....

Yes its an epic line up, shame the Manor isn't attending and Britannia is cold but even without its going to be a good one!

Hopefully the weather will play ball and the visitors will turn up…..

Yes its Nunney's support coach, which came in the 3 lorry convoy from NYMR….. when you see the logistics of getting just 1no loco to the railway is really makes you think about the people who question the cost of a Gala ticket? Edit - I have just worked out its 8 lorries just for the visiting locos, thats not going to be cheap!

Just been past the station, FOUR low loaders parked there, one is actually parked on the cattle dock siding. I was home for lot of the day today and didn't hear all that movement at the station, mind you it was so windy, couldn't hear a lot!

Seemingly 5029 plus support coach came by road because DBS couldn't provide crews for it to travel by rail. That's an expensive move for whoever's picking up the bill!
