They did not rule it out, stated something like only in special circumstances. It was due to attend the Bluebell's 50th Anniversary Gala but did not attend due to boiler problems.

I've never visited Llangollen yet and currently live within a day's journey (although our house has just gone on the market). I have seen many pictures of this lovely line and felt that I ought to pay a visit before we move further away. If there's one visiting loco that will tempt me to pay a visit, it's 34092, so thanks for letting me know.

You might have to make the journey then. City of Wells and GCR 9F are the latest to be added!

I'm looking forward to 92212 in particular which will be a cop loco for me. (Not that I need much of an excuse to visit the Dee Valley!).

Technically, all the visitors are Somerset and Dorset classes. I'm very excited about these 2. I can't wait to see a 9F on the Llangie again! I had a great day photting and riding behind Wells on the KWVR 2 weekends ago. I love it when all these engines come to my home line!

On the S&D angle..... if only 88 wasn't out of ticket, she'd make a right racket in the valley. What about 73129 or another Standard 5?

Glad to hear a 9F has been at Llan before. I was wondering if that length of coupled wheelbase would cope with the curves - I assume that the answer is yes then!

92203 did a season at Llangollen in the 1990s - and a photo charter was organised on an S&DJR theme with 9 MkI Maroon coaches that made a lovely sight curving into Carrog !

I thought 92212 was from Mid Hants,

It is, and thats the one they have booked. Couldn't have seen Quentin booking a loco in a false livery somehow!

From reading things on Facebook, it appears 34092 shouldn't have been announced yet, and nothing has been said by 6880 society yet.

Interesting comment when you consider that the whole event is raising money to build a "false" loco.

Well, yes, good point. It is true, they are building a false loco, only as no others exist. The comment was more based on why have one that isnt authentic when there are others of the type that are authentic. Photo charters are a good side income from the SSS events, so more chance of having one with a black 9F than a green one.

Signalman friend of mine told me it was 92214. BR1B tender rules 92212 out as an S&D engine unless it was a Summer Saturday transfer from the Midland region! Yes. I know it was based at Bath but not with that tender.

Why worry about the tender? The S&D didn't run through Wales.
