Yes, tomorrows LE move with 46115 is also an ECS.. Engine + POB.
just surprised the two workings weren't combined as seen in the past.

There is (in LE thread) an unusual move.. Southall - Paddington- Reading - Paddington-Southall tomorrow.. just wondering if it's related.

 

A Scot back on the Fast Lines between Harlington and Kettering... Now i wish I'd of booked it instead of the Yule Tide in December now.

 

Doe anybody know which two tracks are open? Fast lines or slow? I am hoping to see it at Elstree and want to make sure I'm on the right platform!

 

RTT has it on the slow from Radlet jnc to Bedford South jnc - Pass Platform 2 at St Albans. Now I know you are at Elsetree, i'll move further up the line where its booked on the fast - Not offended by your aftershave you understand - just so we don't duplicate scenes.

 

Nothing in the schedules at St Pancras after departure indicates the Diesel is being left behind, so assumption is it will be on the back.

 

So, am I right in assuming it be on the fast at Elstree, as RTT show it as FL after leaving St. Pancras?

 

Not sure to be honest , could have been a ECS .46115 was in steam late this afternoon been told .

 

Todays ecs was a class 47, 37 and a rake of coaches

 

Slow Line at Elstree, West Hampsted & Radlett Jn. Both marked with 'SL'. Most likely it won't switch Fast - Slow - Fast - Slow.

 

Don't be so sure about that slow line at West Hampstead, its passing on platform 4. Isn't platforms 1&2 the slow lines?

 

The Lincoln Imp ( which started at Victoria ) in 2011 with 70013 was 10 coaches plus Diesel. For shunting at Lincoln? So Diesel on the back seems likely.

 

Lincoln isn't a terminus and I've been there on tours without a diesel on the back. Unless things have changed, trains arriving from the Newark direction pull forward into the sidings, the loco uncouples and runs out to the Boultham triangle to turn, goes back to the sidings and then draws back into the station with the stock.

 

Its shown as FL from Dock Junction to Radlett Junction. That said its also supposed to remain 6 mins behind a stopper that's on the slow so think it might be a data error.

I was brought up in Elstree and will be on the train so I'd love to see any photos.

 

Ill let you know what line we're on if I have decent mobile signal.

 

I suppose the diesel would be kept on the rear so it's there for when the tour finishes at KGX Southall don't have to send another box over or move one from St Pancras - Kings Cross....?

 

I was on the 2012 Lincoln Imp and that didn't have a diesel on the back.

 

RTT will show mileages/chains, lots more intermediate stations and platform numbers after the schedule is activated, so on the morning of the tour you can work out the running lines.

 

Wen't down to the smoke today to see the poppies. Return journey late by being moved onto slow line at Bedford North, returned to fast for Wellingboro then back onto slow line before Harrowden for Kettering. All bridge work seemed to be concentrated on the fast down line, at least, that's where the orange wombles were gathered. Guess that's why Sunday's run is a bit haphazard.
