A weight restriction has been imposed on an overbridge at Selhurst UFN, so expect the Surrey Hills BBP, and other steam operations, to go via Crystal Palace for the foreseeable future.

Wel well well, great minds think alike, But I think my bridge is more attractive than yours.

I have to agree with that comment as I drove under that bridge little more than an hour later on my way back from Scotland. And, for a Friday, amazingly in traffic not much heavier than that shown.

 

On the motorway shot, I see a white saloon car parked on the hard shoulder - a genuine breakdown or maybe a keen photographer who just happens to know what was about to happen!! If he is an enthusiast, don't copy him or her because it is a dangerous place to park and the cops will have you!

 

I drive a black car.

 

I have been pondering and planning and surveying that bridge, and that shot for some considerable time now, and I can assure you, the thoughtt of engineering a breakdown in the right place at the right time was indeed considered.

 

Do you drive a white car by any chance?

Quite a display at Norwood Junction as 'Clan Line' got the road and charged the bank up to Crystal Palace.
