    Stanier Black Five recently passed an out of frames hydraulic test and last week passed a steam test, now 45305 has been reunited with its boiler

    Visited the GCR yesterday but access to the shed was denied, the first time after 20 odd years of visiting to railway. Therefore myself or anyone else are unable see any other locos or any work progress. I'm sure various locos used to have collection boxes attached for donations, so these groups must be losing out. Loughborough yard is boring now, all there is to see are various diesels, a couple of cabs 70013 & 34039, spares, bits & pieces & accommodation coaches. Plus one small shop at the very end.

    I believe its been mentioned recently that the shed closure was due to thefts, so while its a shame its understandable.
