Thanks std tank. I checked RailUK and you're dead right. I suppose that the fact that half of Lot 145 and some of Lot 150 were not streamlined had something to do with Stanier's dislike of it for pragmatic and cost reasons.

I noticed that it is showing as cancelled on Uk Steam info now. I suppose there is only Thursday that a test run may be possible now.
There are 3 locos in the move to Cadder :-

    http://www.uksteam.info/tours/t10/t0409p.htm

I was thinking if the path for GB3 on Friday is for a 75mph approved loco the options would be 70013 or possibly 5029 if it could be positioned in time?

All purely guesswork! I am sure that RTC, WCRC and others involved will be working on a plan B or is it C to make this tour a success.

    Neil.

I'd heard it was likely to be 45407+44871 on the train with 70013 going up first with support coach, but this could always be switched. To be honest, either would be great to see over Shap and Beattock, so I really don't mind. It might be nice to have a surprise on the day :)

I have heard similar Paul with 70013 with 2 support coaches running 1 hour away from GB3 but not sure if before or after?

One of the chaps on scot-rail is hinting that this may change again and it may be 70013 as the path is timed for 75mph. As I said before, I really don't mind which; they're all cracking locos.

If this happens, and all is OK, it's a pity RYTC have cancelled The White Rose for both 8th and 15th May.

The 'test run tomorrow' rumour was alive and well among the gallery at Woodacre this morning.
