    Latest Update

The restoration of 5967 took a large step forward today with the boiler being removed from the frames. While we had the crane on site the tender tank was also lifted off, and the frames lifted from the wheels. Keep and eye on the website (www.bickmarshhall.co.uk) as a full write up on the day will be appearing soon.

Is this project a private restoration on the Northampton & Lamport Railway or does the locomotive belong to a society/trust ?

When the engine is complete is the plan to move away from the railway or stay for some time ?
I love to see the 38xx and Bickmarsh together in steam so close to home in Northamptonshire!

    Great Western.

Great to see another GWR loco coming back together. Don't let the rust and c**p put you off! (I'm sure you haven't by the look of progress!) If I recall correctly, the locomotive's namesake is a residence not far from Stratford upon Avon and Honeybourne. Always good to see another of the great "Halls" coming back to life.

5967 is owned by a private individual. Regarding where the engine will be when shes finished I think thats a little way off to worry about. It would be nice if she stayed however the railway needs the facilities to store and maintain an engine of that size. I have to agree 5967 & 3862 running together would be a nice sight.
