    Would any member know of a 6 wheel underframe "FOR SALE" suitable for a 34' 6" 1896 L&Y wooden bodied carraige

    A BZ underframe went to Embsay the other week.
    However it was destined to provide an underframe for 2 vehicles but that seemed a bit complicated to me.
    It may be available if you ask.

    Errrrr.... NO it is not available!

    Unless you can find replacements with W irons outside the springs to suit two 4-wheel underframes (14'6" long?)....

    The BZ was offered free to a good home for years on the basis that it would be restored, and then more recently (when it was falling apart) it was offered for sale, with no conditions attached.

    Given that I bought it for a purpose, I'm not too keen on parting with it!!

    Tanfield have quite a bit of experience of non bogie rolling stock, might be worth a call... ?
