Unlikely I do not think the WSR has any marine facilities. The DSR has both marine and steam engineers and facilities, that is why she was chosen to be operated by them.

I really hope this loco gets somewhere this time. It's had a sorry and undeserved history: 15 years working for BR followed by 55 years changing hands as scrap.

Isn't Hogwarts Castle a Hall with ideas above its station? :)

Heritage Railway magazine this month reports she is off to the WSR to be restored there.

    On the WSR thread:
It's remarkable how much travelling this loco is doing as its restoration gets going.

Perhaps the reason why Bob Meanley has become the temporary WSR CME - to keep an eye on progress ?

Was any work done at Tyseley? It was previously reported it would be going there. It was also previously reported the bogie had gone to Williton for work to be done.

Isn't 7027's owner recently appointed to a senior position at the WSR, might be seen as better form to bring the business to the railway?

As I know the owner reads the forum perhaps they would like to comment . I suspect as Kinlet Hall is under overhaul at Tyseley , some work can start at Williton where there may be some more space and cover

It was said with tongue in cheek but difficult to show that in text communications.
