Will 9F 92203 return to the Glou-Warks railway when Chicken curve is reopened to traffic?

In a simple word no! we only needed three locos to work our reduced schedule in 2011 and therefore David took up an offer from the North Norfolk railway. The engine is now entering the last 18 months of its current 'ticket' and the NNR offer was too good to not take up as it will prop up the engines overhaul fund. Work was undertaken on the pony truck in 2010 and the tender was also retyred in 2011. As a non barry engine, many parts are ex BR as it was bought out of service and therefore are starting to show sighns of needing replacement. Still - a superb engine and many GWSR crews would have it back tomorrow.

As some of you will have worked out the GWSR has slowly been consolidating a home fleet after many years of hiring short term visitors. We hope that 4270 and 35006 will make appearances at some point! whilst if 44901 goes to plan will be a usefull addition in a few years. NRM 4f 4027 continues to make good progress and the plan is to see it sometime in early 2014. 7903 has a boiler exam this winter, but we hope at the very least to see it through until june 2013.
