    Would those who go for a Whizzo be interested in a 25 though ? diesel enthusiasts are far more fickle in their choice of traction.

    I think they would prefer a diesel to steam...but its a done deal and I would think the Dartmouth STEAM Railway would prefer steam as well

    Some steam buffs might tolerate a Western or a Deltic for part of the trip, but I think the idea of a Derby Type 2 would have us running for the hills!

    But its a full trip with 1015..why would steam fans get on it?? Just for the handful of miles on DSR with steam which they can get anytime?? The 25 doesnt work that often so thats another reason to use it..

    I originally asked the question over the use of the class 25 as another railtour operator previously ran a heritage diesel charter to Paignton where the PDSR ran 'additional' services to the published timetable utilising the class 25. Quite popular I understand they were too !
