Evening, I passed a loco boiler that was heading north on the M11 at Cambridge at 2.15ish today. I was heading south so only saw it very briefly. It appeared to have a silver ring on the smokebox door which made me wonder if it was off the n7.

    Can anyone identify it? Thanks

The Chapel MPD Facebook page has an update that the N7 boiler was dispatched up to HBSS in Liverpool yesterday. So looks like you were correct.

No I do not currently volunteer
That's good news, it would be great to have back in service.
