Can anyone recommend an 8-pin DCC loco decoder that is a direct fit into the loco pcb (i.e. no wiring harness - am getting fed up with trying to stuff all those ******* wires inside loco bodies!)

  3. Lenz Silver Direct - just like an 8 pin Lenz Silver, but with no wires.

I've only ever managed to fry one Lenz Silver, and I've (accidentally) tried damned hard on occasions, so that must be some kind of endorsement ;-)

I have used DP2-UK in a few locos and it is a nice decoder. Never had any problems with it (or indeed any other TCS decorder) well worth getting if your are short on space- fits inside the Bachmann 08 and pannier a treat
