Just wanted to give a quick plug to my SR colleage Derek Pattenson's website at http://www.may-restoration.co.uk/home regarding the above loco.

May is historically significant for the rebuilt SR, as it was the motive power for the first passenger trains from Northbrook Road bridge (by Swanage shed) for a couple of hundred yards up past King George's playing fields in August 1979. Much of the leg-work of the project is being done by the Sygnets, Swanage's youth group, helping the next generation of volunteers cut their teeth in a similar way to our first volunteers.

If anyone can be of any assistance to the project, I would be grateful to hear from them.

    Kind regards

    Nick

    Cheers Nick! :)

Specifically, does anyone just happen to have a spare clutch for this loco sitting around? Check round the back of your sheds, behind the tool cupboard, anywhere you might happen to come across one.... ;-)
