This years IMLEC will be held at the Nottingham Society of Model and Experimental Engineers track at Ruddington (GCR) on the 14th and 15th July. Here's looking forward to it... Will anyone else be attending?

I will be there on Sunday with my friend who is entering his 3 1/2 inch SAR 15F.

Our run is the first of the day at 9.30, I will most likely be taking the pictures, unless he decides he can't drive with a broken finger, so come say Hi.

I must say that entering my 3 1/2" RUSSELL into IMLEC or the narrow gauge version is a bit of a bucket list item for me, not sure I would enjoy the high pressure of the experience, but to do it and do it well would be great...

I have another high pressure (no pun intended) firing experience to get out of the way in a few weeks, perhaps in the light of that being completed successfully, it may spur me on to try the IMLEC thing. (ODC knows what I am on about but sssshhhhhh!)

Must fix it first and get a boiler certificate etc... Maybe in a few years when life has calmed down a bit? Or maybe life is never meant to be calm?
