    There is also apparently a move from the ELR to Carnforth today (Wed) with two WCRC 37s bringing 45231 to Steamtown for overhaul.

    Due off Castleton 1346, Eccles 1518 and Preston 1611. HTH

    Contrary to what I posted on the Elizabethan thread, Network Rail and WCRC appeared to perform a trial in which Royal Scot No. 46115 was allowed to steam through the Haymarket and Mound Tunnels ( to the West of Edinburgh Waverley station ) to test the effects of a steam engine running along this stretch, now being fully electrified on all lines. This was done as part of her engine move down to Carnforth from Bo'ness :
