    Hi All

    I have now added my former fotopic collection of Class 22’s at Swindon works onto my smugmug site along with 4 new photos taken in the 1st year of service 1960

    i always had a soft spot for these.Apart from their stronghold in Devon and Cornwall, OOC had a few and we'd see them crawl through Reading General on the Goods Line at the head of an Engineers train usually and just occasionally on a revenue earning parcels working. I believe they were used on ECS at Padd.(late sixties/early seventies memory)

    They were used on the Chinnor cement works coal trains for several years and also on the Prnces Risborogh-Oxford line.
