    I thought I would try and formulate a complete list of all new build or replica steam locomotives in Britain, so if we could include in our contributions the basic details, what it is (or will be), where it is (if applicable), who's building it and a current status if possible as well as a website if possible.

    I'll start with the obvious one:

    60163 Tornado, LNER Peppercorn A1 Class, Darlington works, constructed by the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust, status as of November 2009, operational and mainline certified.

    I can think of about 9 others but I am in no doubt that there are more I don't know of

    Didn't we do this recently ? Have a look in the archive, or was it one of the threads that got lost when the systems problem occurred ?

    A ha! Thanks buseng, I can only see the first 4 pages of the steam traction section. Guess there's nothing much more to do other than ask a mod to close this thread then.
