PMR's brochure has never been that extensive, luckily the Duchess gets plenty of work from others.

Guess we better keep in Mind that she is doing the York-King's Cross Segment of the Great Britain Tour.
So maybe their possibly think that Steam Dream is a possibility WCRC being the operators.

Thats an expensive railtour though for 1 section.

If I am correct, since overhaul she has been to london only 1 time out of the approx 30 trips, and it looks to stay that way again in 2014.. one hopes something may happen :)

Maybe someone is still holding a 1960's manual that says she is banned south of crewe ?

I read in one of the mags that the Duchess is hauling the first leg of the Cathedrals Explorer as far as Helifield.

Quite possible that most of the support crew is based around the Derby/Crewe/North West area, hence the lack of London jobs?

Afterall, there are numerous engines which haven't appeared in the North or indeed Scotland ( can we have Britannia to Glasgow, or 61306 on the SRPS Forth Circles? ).

6233 is not having much of a Summer season apparently. A light 2014 might bode well for a busier 2015 though. One can hope.

I feel really sorry for the loco owners who are suffering from the lack of income, with the combined result of the dry weather, NRs different approach in different areas and the FBU strikes, all adding up to making it a difficult season. Not forgetting the tour operators and all those they employ, like the caterers, all suffering. I also believe that Scarborough council are really annoyed as they have lost the regular 4 days a week influx of visitors, I did hear that they have been making approaches to NR to try to resolve the situation.

And this might be where public opinion in the form of local councils may have more leverage than anyone else. Scarborough isn't the only destination that could be affected. Paignton/Kingswear, Weymouth etc.

Not those damnable public sector freeloaders that should all be sacked and their pensions slashed?

Agreed, it was just that a group of people that I was with on Sunday, who are involved with tours to Scarborough in particular, were discussing it.

Taking the above as a serious comment can I suggest you ought to update your knowledge on what they actually do. But we digress.

It is a satirical reference to the many comments posted on the forum recently that have expressed negative views over public sector workers and pay disputes. With apologies for taking the thread off topic.
