78019 is not red (except the buffer beams).

Can't be 78019, as it has been at Llangollen since last Thursday. It will be running next weekend aswell...

It was only a suggestion... & That's the red bit I was getting at to be honest... If it's red and on the mainline then it would be either 5972 or 5690? 5972 moved back to Carnforth last Monday & I don't see why 5690 would be near Skipton?

Was it just a locomotive, or was it pulling a train?

    5Z59 10+30 York NRM - Carnforth Depot.
Booked for loco & PO brake.
Due at Skipton at 12/30 but reported on TRUST as 160' late.
    Confirmed on TOPS as 5972.

    Does this help?

    Cheers, Neil

According to uk steam, it ran York to Carnforth on the Monday (7th). Then Carnforth to Fort William this Wednesday (yesterday 16th).
