Wanted Standard Gauge Wagon Turntable, big enough to turn 6 coupled Industrial Steam Locos.

Might be worth talking to the South Devon Railway workshops people at Buckfastleigh to see if they have any knowledge of another such item. I recall seeing some images of one such "wagon" turntable installed within the last year or so at the works, and --I think--one of the smaller GW panniers being turned on the table.

They might at least be able to point you in the right direction ( no pun intended...!).

Edit: use Google and find the southdevonrailway association.org website, (not the current south devon railway website), click on news archive and scroll down the news items there to 20th March 2012. There is a photo of 1369 on said turntable.

The ones we have won't be big enough to turn a 6 coupled engine I'm afraid.

There were some wagon turntables in Ian Riley's works and we were tentatively offered one several years ago. i don't know whether they still exist and even whether they would be available.

Failing that I've got a detailed GA of a Cowans Sheldon 16ft 72 ton T/T if you want to build your own! (From Devonport dockyard.)

That one at the SDR looks like it would not turn anything much else, does the 14xx have a longer wheelbase than 1369?
