A few years ago the Middleton Railway acquired various spares from GEC. These were for Ruston locos of various types. Why we acquired them is lost in the mists of time but we no longer have a Ruston loco. They have been stored in a van which unfortunately was not watertight so they have suffered slightly but most are probably usable when cleaned up. We've scrapped those that are obviously beyond use. We have no idea what they are for. Some are labelled for 88DS and some are 48DS but there are others. There are a lot of gears and other transmission parts, a set of cylinder heads, pistons and liners, amongst many other things. Rather than scrap these, we are prepared to let them go to anyone who can make use of them. They are available for free. We are not going to list them or do any searching of them. Sorry, but we just haven't the time. If anybody is interested in having some or all of them then please PM me. I have no objection to people coming and taking their pick of what's there. Attached is a photo of one pallet. I couldn't get to photograph the rest (battery died!) but this represents about 25% of what we have.
