And now showing it as time travelled and being 13 early so don’t believe everything you read on RTT!

Should you blame RTT, they are only as accurate as the information they receive.

Ralph I’m not blaming RTT. At no point have I said anything is their fault?

I’m saying not to believe everything you read on there - perhaps I should then add your words - they are only as accurate as the information they receive

But is RTT programmed to catch up on any delay where there is a lengthy stop? That's not a data issue. I can see this works as an assumption for freight trains which lose their path and then regain it, so there is a logic to it. But in the case of charters it does seem quite systematically to assume water stops, loco changes etc can be done instantaneously if necessary. Traksy gives a better picture but trains do seem to disappear and then reappear mysteriously.

what I often see within RTT is that the arrival time is logged as a departure time and then often corrected later when actual departure occurs

On the trip with 71000, RTT was showing us as having left Lancaster when we hadn't. This was because the loco was beyond the point at which RTT was triggered. That is often the reason for times not matching what is actually happening.

But at least Platform 9 is not as bad as 10 and 11 where they seem to make WCRC operated tours go. One of the grimmest places in the country. Probably also why XC have to use it at times as well.

I dont know that that is true. 44871 arrived as booked in Plat. 5 on Saturday. Of course anything coming in or out of Holgate Reception Sidings has to use 9,10 or 11 as you cant get to 3 or 5 from there. And from a dispatch point of view 3 and 9 are a nightmare - give me 10 or 11 any day over those two.

Maybe I have just spent far too long very cold and sometimes damp on 10 or 11. Not sure I can actually remember an RTC tour that ended up anywhere when I was stewarding, not to say they did not.
Even remember standing there on P10 in the pouring rain watching Mark Taylor couple up Les Ross on the return leg of the 2018 Whitby Flyer.

Around the 5 minute mark on that video, as SNG pulls slowly out of York, there is a squeak every third exhaust beat. Any thoughts as to what that is all about?

Exhaust related noise? You get something similar from Scots Guardsman.
