Steam has been re-introduced, as has BR..... staff are wanted at your local running shed... Starting as a Cleaner on Minimum Wage, dirty hard work, shiftwork, nights, for about 5 years and then another ten as a Fireman before you make Driver.... will you apply?

    Form queue here....

Interesting question. Will the rest of the 1950s be reintroduced at the same time? :)

Only if you get six weeks paid holiday and every other weekend off. Plus a starting salary of 30k a year.

Common sense was the order of the day then, it was a job requirement. Sadly common sense died a long time ago.
How many of todays young people could get out of bed at all hours and KNOW it was going to be a hard 10/12 hour shift.
I'm too old and creaky now, but I'll join the queue, I'll be the tea boy.:)

Na, nowadays you'd have to do a degree at the "University of Vaguely Southwest of Watford" and finish up with a 20K student loan before you were eligible for a cleaners job.
