    Hello!

Had a really enjoyable trip to the SDR on Saturday (26th June). Stunning line, beautiful countryside, perfection! Also, on my way to my girlfriends Aunts in Saltash was very lucky to chance upon the Cornish Riviera!!

Sorry to change the subject, but what happened to the plans to extend the line North to Ashburton?
Did the cost's involved dealing with the A38 problem and the anti social buckfast abbey put a stop to this?

Must agree, it is a loveley little Railwy, the staff are friendly too, (But as a number of them are friends of mine, I would say that!) I have certainly found it well worth thetrip to go and visit there

I was highly impressed! First time I've made the effort to go to a railway on my own and was terrific!

It was on my "To do" list for many years, then thanks to a mutual friend of ours, I became friends, initially with occasional nat press poster Ernestgew, followed by a number of other SDR lads, which encouraged me to pay more than one visit down there this year.
