Have just had a good day out - 0-6-0PT 5786 and 0-6-0 3205 were rostered, but sadly 3205 suffered a broken spring before taking the 2.15 pm from Buckfastleigh; replaced by 20 118 very efficiently and not much time lost. Last train was 4.30 pm from Buckfastleigh to Totnes and back, worked by bubble car W55000. So, plenty of variety. Not to mention the free bus trips around Buckfastleigh, including the Abbey, in a London RM doubledecker.

Dukedog 9017 and 0-4-2T 1450 are planned for Real Ale event in late August, and gala in September.

Quick work - that's good to hear as she is a lovely loco, but 20118 was no mean emergency substitute, and the river Dart remains an attraction regardless of power!

Had a round trip on Sat. the line is absolutely wonderful. Quite a few TSR's. I guess the PW dept are busy at the moment. Steam loco on the miniature rly was poorly. Staverton is just idyillic. I bought a Ex-GWR chair, £10 in the SDR coffers. Now need a stub of bullhead rail and a wooden key to go in it!!
