    heya mate,

I'm currently using my trusty steed, my Canon Eos 20D i bought it a good few years back when it had just come out, and for me its a cracking lil camera, i have learnt a lot by using it here is an example of one of the shots taken with it:

you can pick these up really quite cheap now, so i would personally have a reaL look at these older canon's or nikons if you prefer :)

as for a bridge camera i know ash on here used to use one of these:

I use a bridge camera, a Canon Powershot S5IS and find it to be good. It's out of production now but I'm sure its successor will be just as good, see http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/78652/show.html . By offering the link I'm not saying buy it from Jessops - just for info.

One thing about modern cameras, excepting DSLRs that is, they quite often don't have an eye-level viewfinder. These, in my view, are essential, but the feature doesn't seem to be available on the link above - beware!

    Regards

    PS try this one http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/78648/show.html?cm_vc=PPZ1

I currently use a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS. Found it to be a very good bridge camera in that it's got me through two years of A-level Photography. Looking to move up to a proper DSLR in the Summer now that I've learnt a lot from it.
