You'll find the summary on page 72, Harold. It reads: Recommendation Refuse for the following reasons: 1. The development proposed, by virtue of the scale, mass, relative level, alignment and position of the proposed halt is considered to harm...

It does seem strange. I haven't read all the document to find the reasons why the officer is making this recommendation. With the Reinstatement of the railway being in the local plan there ought to be a way that this application can be passed....

I think there was something near Junction Road on the documents submitted with the planning application - but things have probably changed since then.

Are you sure? I know of the Heritage Building fund, to help with the upkeep of existing KESR buildings, but my understanding was that the new builds at Robertsbridge are being funded by the RVR....

Something to look forward to when the RVR extension’s completed. K&ESR will also, for the first time ever since opening in 1900, have the option of services originating from Robertsbridge since it’s planned to have a new loco running-shed there...

Latest issue of Steam Railway has turned up today and there's a nice feature on the extension. It says a passing loop is planned on or near the site of Salehurst Halt, but they need to do clearance to conduct a survey of where best to put it....
