    Long time (53 years +) Australian Railwayman having served with the Commonwealth Railways, Australian National Railways, Railways of Australia and National Rail Corporation. Since 2001 I have been a consultant on rail operations and wagon distribution and coordination with one of Australia's leading Engineering Consultants.

    Interested pretty much in anything mechanical. The bigger the better. Started out in an era when much machinery was still steam bu now everything in Australia is diesel or electric (especially in Queensland). Nevertheless I am still interested. Seriously considered the RAN in the early 1960s but decided that the 9 or 12 years was too big a commitment at the time so stayed on land.

    Volunteer on loco preservation many years ago.
