Cant see a thread for this, so here goes.

Tangmere on the down leg of the Golden Arrow. Filmed here after being held at a red at the bottom, climbing the grade from the fly-under into Shortlands station.

    Tangy looks lovely.

Was the box pushing or just ticking over?

The box was just ticking over, played no part in the climb.

Well, IMHO, Tangy did damn well to take that load away from a stop down there. 12 cars plus a box.

It does appear to be working very nicely indeed at the moment. That was a very nice smooth controlled piece of driving too.

Let's hope that the enforced layover period has given the engineers a real chance to sort out her mechanics and timing once and for all. She certainly sounded better than I have heard her for some time.

I've got some bits of video from yesterday - Wandsworth Road, servicing at Canterbury West, and Folkestone Warren. A bit shaky I know - it was VERY windy and the last shot was braced against/through a fence...
