I've just seen that. I just wrote most of a message with a link included, then deleted it, just in case! :p

    I reckon someone's running a book on it. :)

Sure put the link to the fb page.

i reckon that's 45699 with 5690's number plate, not 5690, and some guys got slap happy with red undercoat (it needs painting and those "dings" highlighting for filling etc).
i'm still interested to know the history of 45699's tender (its lined black last month on the drivers side, but rubbed down BR green on the fireman s side, in last weeks, (complete with new welded chunk), it was allegedly 44932's old tender, and 44932 is allegedly been running with 45699's for the past few years)... What the truth is who knows.. but why would 44932's tender ever been green ? - {edit} of course.. when it was first preserved it was green!

I'll be quite keen to see the link- and to see the finished product! Good on Mr Smith for keeping everyone guessing so long, it will be a treat when it finally emerges!

and what is missing off the side of this smokebox in todays photograph ?

The strange thing that most seem to be missing is that Leanders Tender would not need repainting .
