    I am pleased to announce a unique opportunity to drive English Electric 50007 Sir Edward Elgar at the Midland Railway - Butterley on Friday 20th May 2011.
    Bookings are now being taken and courses cost £250 per head, this includes driving the loco for the length of the line light engine and then with a train of (usually) 5 Mk1s, a behind the scenes guided tour of the site at Swanwick Junction, a 3 course meal, 1 year's membership of the Midland Railway Trust and a commemorative certificate presented at the end of the day. £100 from each booking goes towards the upkeep of the Class Forty Appeal's locomotives.
