    It was at the WHLR(1964)Ltd premises at Kinnerley, Shropshire between being at Cyfronydd and Normanton. From about 1966 to 68 ish I would guess.

    Does seem a little odd no one noticed the state of 60008's chimney when 60010 is getting a new panel at the front end to replace that dented one around the front drawbar.

    Been to the NRM today to see both A4's together and the chimney isn't the only part of 60008 that looks damaged, the name plate on the L/H side is bent, the same side cab number panel is dented and the top of the engine itself has a dip in it compared with Mallard.
    I know that the two A4's from across the pond have only been brought here for cosmetic refurbishment and display purposes, which makes you appreciate how the other four have been looked after by their various owners
