An amazing place, having helped there a few times with the line.

Does anyone else have memories about this place, and more to the point, it's up for sale!

I have a few memories of the place, especially the pair of Terriers.

I believe there is an open day this coming Sunday. I'm probably going to travel down from Yorkshire for a visit one last time as I have been offered a drive on the Schools.

It's a wonderful line in a beautiful setting. The home-made cakes are also excellent.
This Sunday is the likely last open day, as the house will probably be sold very soon and there's no guarantee the new owner is a railway enthusiast. It's open 12-4pm with a BBQ. Likely to be a few locos in steam. Weather forecast is good.

Get to this 1/2 mile garden railway of the most exquisite kind, before it's too late.

It's not far from various other attractions including the K&ESR.

Adults £5, Children over 2 £2.50, Family (2+2) £12.50, Refreshments, Free Parking. All proceeds to Action Duchenne for Muscular Dystrophy.

I've been a few times. Some of my pics from a previous visit are here; and I'll be volunteering on Sunday.

Well today was a great day at Birchley. Just a shame I could not stay longer as unfortunatly I had to get back to Yorkshire.

Hopefully clicking the thumbnails will take you to a full size image. Highlights of the day was watching Buster the dog jump on my train and come for a ride along with driving various bits and pieces.

I don't really mind where it is. The object was to take the michael out of Admin himself!

No, but the house was probably one of the few where you needed to look out for trains when you stepped out of the front door -
