I believe it was at the GWSR but is now at Tyseley, seem to remember reading somewhere that it has reasonably recently been repainted and tidied up, but not sure?

All correct (unless she's moved in the last few weeks).

    1) Google is not your friend. Remember, you are not a customer of Google: you are the product they are selling to their advertisers.
    2) Search engines are fine for looking up old press releases and finding out where something once was, but unless you actually light on the right one, even assuming there was one, it doesn't really tell you where something *is* right now.
    3) Most people know you can search for things on google, so it could be argued that wasn't the most helpful of contributions.

She is denintally at Tyseley, I saw her in August. Cosmeticly she is in quite good condition (then anyway), I beleive (maybe not true) her boiler would need work before a return to use.

Ah yes, Cadbury No 1, an Avonside 0-4-0T formerly the property of the Dowty Railway Preservation Society and transferred with the Society's stock from Ashchurch to Toddington in 1983 I believe. Also with the locomotive and some standard and narrow gauge stock came a 2 road shed. This served as the GWSR loco running shed for many years and has only recently been demolished to make way for a large extension to the excellent David Page Shed. This new extension (the framework is already up) will be home to the railway's impressive fleet of diesels and is being sponsored mainly by the diesel loco owner groups but you can chip in too! The DRPS sold off all its standard gauge stuff and now has a lovely narrow gauge operation and railwayana museum at Toddington.
But I digress. Two things I remember about Cadbury No 1 (apart from its impressive crimson lake livery) when it commenced GWSR services in 1984; for the first train it carried the headboard "22nd Year Dowty Railway Preservation Society" which I thought was a bit mean spirited to be honest - why didn't they allow the GWSR to have something like "GWSR Reopening Train" or something similar, if only for the 1st train? The second memory I have of this little 0-4-0T was that it never ever "puffed", it just hissed - really weird I thought. I guess they never opened it up enough. At that time, Cadbury No 1 was joined by a little 0-4-0ST Peckett and that could make a puff!
Cadbury No 1 was cosmetically tided up for the GWSR 25th Anniversary event but I believe it is true that it now needs a boiler overhaul.

entirely true in most cases however, this guys posts seem to me to represent idle curiosity rather than the need for in depth up to the minute info and he finds it easier to ask multiple questions on here than to go to the bother of searching himself. I should add that "the NatPres search facility is your friend"

I recall a similar poster "Would It Be Good To Have A "XYZ" Gala... I suspect the same person. No problem with him, but entering into discussions or saying thank you Would Be Good.

I fear, Anthony, that along with common sense, common courtesy has long since vanished from the education system, be it school or parental.

I always considered these to be good looking locos with their outside cylinders and Walschaerts valve gear. They are one of a rare breed, a standard gauge 4 coupled side tank loco. Off the top of my head, I can only think of four.
