Does anyone have any photographs of the interiors of these units?

Stuart Mackay has some interior photos of Class 124's which were known to be similar. He may have Class 123 images but I'm unsure. PM me if you want his contact details.

are these Intercity or transpennine units? I think they had pretty much Mk1 interiors didn't they?

They are BR Swindon built Intercity units and were Mk1 based. They had both open and corridor sections, the closest vehicles that still exist are the 126 vehicles at Bo'ness.

I have just found two images of a Class 123 interior, one showing a compartment and one looking down the corridor. They are to be found on page 46 of Kevin Robertson's "First Generation DMUs" book, ISBN 0-7110-2970-9 hope this helps!

They based on the hauled 'Mark 1' design so surely they have the standard interiors?
