There is indeed a signalled wrong-direction move from Rothley, but again that's not to passenger standards and would hammer Up line capacity in a Gala! Likewise the shunt from the Down Main into the Up Loop isn't a passenger move. The move from the Up Loop to the branch and back shouldn't need much more than one point end clipping in each direction though, possibly with some form of block working on the branch, so Quorn - Swith Up Loop - Mountsorrel - Rothley would certainly be the least painful way of running an occasional passenger train!

No, not least because, as my colleague has pointed out, "IT IS NOT SIGNALLED TO PASSENGER STANDARDS". :rolleyes1:

Straightforward, apart from clipping and scotching two ends of points, and two unsignalled (for passenger trains) moves.

Three ends of points to be clipped and scotched, and three unsignalled moves.

Five ends of points to be c&s, and four unsignalled moves.

That's just to get you on to the branch, which, let's not forget, has no Transport & Works Act in place to allow passenger working. Then you've got to get off again !

I'm sorry Mr Flip, I see no need for trolling. I said it was relatively straightforward, and it is relatively. Also, if it the main line had been single track it would be much simpler.
